Contact & LTO Teachers Working Daily Occasional Teacher Assignments
• A 0.67 FTE Teacher can accept 1 period of Daily OT supply work at their home school during the period in which they do not have their preparation / on-call time and be paid 1/3 the Daily OT rate for that period.
• A 0.33 FTE Teacher can work a 1/2-day morning or ½ day afternoon Daily OT assignment at any school as long as it does not interfere with completion of their paid preparation time / on-call time and there is sufficient time to get to the work location.
Daily OT to Long Term Occasional (LTO) Assignments
According to our Collective Agreement, a Daily OT assignment is deemed to be an LTO assignment when the assignment to cover the same absent teacher lasts for 10 or more consecutive days. In this case, the LTO teacher is paid retroactively, according to their position on the salary grid.
