For a 1.0 FTE teacher, you should have no more than TWO duties assigned per week. This could be one supervision (ie lunch) and one on-call, or two on-calls and no supervision, or two supervisions and no on-call. They may not be on the same day. The maximum amount of on-calls you can get for the year is 24, and the maximum minutes you can spend on on-calls and supervisions combined is 1900 minutes, assigned in half-periods.
For part-time staff, your allotment of duties should be pro-rated to your FTE.

A 1.0 FTE teacher is allotted 11 sick days per year.
After these are used up, you can access 120 Short Term Leave and Disability Plan days, which are paid at 90%. If you have any sick days leftover from the previous year, they can be used to "top up" those 90% days, 10% at a time, to make them 100% days. For example, if you have one sick day leftover from last year, after you use up your 11 sick days this year, you can take 10% of that day to make your first STLDP day 100%, and then another 10% to make your next STLDP day 100%, and so on to equal an addition 10 days paid at 100%, leaving 110 days that can be taken at 90%. You enter both sick days and STLDP days the same way, as Personal Illness or Medical Appointment in EasyConnect.
LTOs working less than the full year would have their sick days and STLDLP allotment pro-rated to the percentage of the year they work, at 1.1 sick day per month.

Let your supervisor (Admin) know immediately. They should provide you with the necessary forms to fill out, but if not, you should:
fill out an Employee Incident/Accident Report Form to document the incident with the Board/OSSTF
fill out WSIB Form 6 for your own protection
seek medical attention ASAP (even if it seems unnecessary, this could be important if symptoms persist, get worse, or do not appear right away). Let your doctor know that this injury happened at work, so they should fill out WSIB Form 8
contact Candice Potz at OSSTF (Phone: 519-571-0331, email: d24tbuofficer@gmail.com) to inform her of your situation, and so she can help you navigate any further processes, particularly if accommodations or leaves should be considered
Please feel free to contact any of your school union reps for support on-site, advice, or clarifications at any time.
