AMPA - Annual Meeting of the General Assembly

OSSTF/FEESO holds their Annual Meeting of the Provincial Assembly (AMPA) every March in Toronto, which is attended by representatives from all of its bargaining units across Ontario. The Provincial Assembly is the highest legislative body of OSSTF/FEESO, and is responsible for establishing and amending Federation policies, procedures, bylaws, constitutions, budgets, and the Strategic Action Plan. It passes motions, adopts the OSSTF/FEESO budget, and elects the Provincial Executive and OTF Board of Governors during election years.
Attending AMPA is another opportunity to participate in union governance and make connections with other T/OTBU members and members from other Districts around the province. No particular level of experience with OSSTF is required - newer teachers and new-to-union teachers are welcome! AMPA representatives from D24’s T/OTBU are elected at the October Teachers’ Council meeting - to learn more about this process, ask your Staff President or email Member Engagement Officer Stephen Furmaniuk at d24tbuengagement@gmail.com.
